Online dating websites have already become quite intrenched in the Internet. Why are they are so popular? It is because they work. Of course everyone will not have the same success as is true with anything else, but it certainly is possible and even probable, assuming both parties in the relationship follow the rules and don’t mislead the other, to have great success in a relationship initiated by using online dating websites.

Although the online dating websites are in abundance and so many people use them they are not without their faults or problems. Yes they have good points too which we talked about in part I. Here are a few negatives to consider about the online dating websites:

Cons:

* Using online dating websites does not guarantee that everyone you meet online is nice and kind. You might not expect it but there can be times that you can encounter awful and annoying individuals.

* Computers can be deceiving. Someone you met over the internet might tell you something which is not true or far from the truth. Let’s face it. It is easy to tell lies behind keyboard than in person. Some would dare send pictures that are them, but someone else. Therefore be careful because you will never know if the person you chat with is trustworthy or genuine.

* Don’t fall into the trap of falling for someone you meet online too soon. Why? Because there is no assurance that the person online you may fall in love with also loves you in return. Heartaches can be everywhere, so be careful.

* Until you actually meet the online dating website person you have been chatting with face-to-face, all bets are off as to whether they are, in fact, as you believe them to be.

* Because there are more unknowns when corresponding with someone using dating websites than meeting someone face-to-face you always have to have your guard up and be on the watch for any signs of insincerity.

* With most online dating websites there is a charge to be a member to get maximum benefit from the service. So you may end up paying a monthly fee for quite a while even though you have not found a compatible match. Some sites charge about $50 a month and it could add up.

Also be aware that some online dating websites offer a guarantee, but if you find no one the guarantee only gives you more time to use their service for free. That’s ok, but if you would rather use another service after no successful match then the guarantee is not in your favor.

Do not forget to enjoy your venture in online dating. Consider yourself lucky that you have the opportunity to be selective in finding a potential lifetime relationship in a date through one of the online dating websites. Although the traditional dating scene has not disappeared you are venturing into unchartered waters as a traditional dating person might think or say.

In spite of the few potential drawbacks mentioned above it is possible you can be another success story in the ongoing saga of online dating websites. Give it your best shot and keep your fingers crossed. You could be the next success story in online dating adventures.
