Marriage Includes Union – Are You United?

An act of uniting or joining two or more things into one is the dictionary definition of union. Marriage is a good example of joining together two people as one. It takes a concerted effort and determination whenever two things are joined together. There is a certain natural resistance that usually occurs if there is anything unlike between the two.

Marriage, however, is a natural union and even though there may be resistance and friction in the beginning, over the years this bond becomes stronger as love endures all things and problems. Most marriages are stronger in the beginning but grow weaker over the years. Often love is taken for granted. Even though your love and dedication to your spouse may be very strong in the beginning, it’s still susceptible to failure if you fail to plan.

Together both of you need to map out a strategy on how to maintain your love in spite of day to day pressures and temptations. Those who have developed a balance of closeness and independence in their marriage make it much easier than those who are less secure. Make the extra effort to form a bond that will last forever by maintaining the spark that drew you together in the first place.

Always make time for the person you love. Start with love and commitment, mix in a little strategy with a workable plan to maintain your love for each other, and you will forge a bond that should last a lifetime
