We all grow up differently. Some come from families with money and others do not. In online dating first dates you never know initially what type of spending or living habits one has. This will call for flexibility on your part.

Be creative. That always delivers a good first impression. If both of you are on a budget, and going Dutch, then you may want to take a fairly frugal approach. That could mean spending your day on a picnic at the park. Depending on where you live, having a nice walk along the beach or a couple of hours drive up in the mountains. In other cases could even invite the other person over for a home cooked meal.

If you’re adventurous, you may want to visit a theme park and ride the thrilling rides in between trying your best to win an overrated stuffed animal for the person you found through an online dating site. The little prize isn’t worth much in money, but it’s the thought that counts.

Movies used to be a cheap option for online dating first dates, and in comparison, they still are. But in some parts of the country, a movie can get pretty pricey. If you opt for the fancy seats or if you devour a few items from the concession stand expect to up the ante in costs. Also costs are higher when the prices are not matinee hours. If the two of you are fans of the arts, you can visit a museum for low cost and sometimes free, and enjoy the exhibits and adult atmosphere.

If you can afford to splurge a bit more, then consider going to a professional sporting event or concert together as your first date. If you decide to do that, however, it could be difficult to get decent tickets at the last moment. There’s plenty of action at those events so that eases your need to continue the conversation, but also adds lots of opportunities to allow you to have fun and get to know one another.

Having dinner can be a great way to break the ice, and you can choose a restaurant to meet at that won’t break the bank, but will make a good first impression with your online dating match. Alternately you can create a review list and let your date pick the place they think might be good to go to.

Believe it or not, there are many matches made on Internet dating sites where the pair wants to live life to its fullest. That means sparing no expense – even for their first date! If this fits your way of living then why not plan a trip to Paris or another part of the world? An African Safari would be a great lifetime remembering trip.

If thrill-seeking is more in line with what you can afford, or is your style, you could parachute or scuba dive. You could take a tourist ride in a helicopter over the city. Maybe you want to try your luck in Vegas. Some couples even attempt to climb a well-known mountain as a way to bond the first time they meet.

Of course these things need to be personalized to fit you and what you know of your partner. Dating on the Internet can provide couples with a true insight into each other’s deepest dreams. Since online dating is not a game why not cater to the personality of your prospective mate and go all out? Oftentimes that first impression is the one that will seal your relationship and fate.
