Online Dating: It Can Be a Rocky Road but Guys Take Heed

How many of you think that online dating is a piece of cake and it’s easy to find the right person quickly or even at all? If you do, then you are out of touch with reality. Just like anything else worthwhile, some time has to be put into it for best results.

Have you ever seen a beautiful girl with a so-so guy? Sure you have. Well it’s usually kept from guys, but women like to be approached by men who are confident and interesting. That even holds true even for very beautiful women who could probably get any man they really wanted.

Does this surprise you? It’s true. It is sometimes hard to believe that could be more important than being that dashing and handsome man you often see in the movies. Being confident, and being an interesting person carries more weight if a man has such qualities. Good looks might be the icing on the cake, however. Amazingly, both young and older women feel the same way.

Of course there are exceptions to every rule, but men don’t you worry about the exceptions. If you are going to worry, first start to be more confident and interesting and see how far that gets you. Then you are much more likely to even get to first base vs. being only handsome or nice looking, but have no confidence in yourself or are a dull and uninteresting person.

The confidence you exude in your online dating holds true just like in traditional face-to-face dating. That’s also true if you appear to be an interesting person in internet dating as well. In internet dating there is usually a lot less women than men. Men are usually more aggressive in making the first contact in internet or online dating than women are.

In online dating, it’s usually a woman’s world. Anyway it’s the normal situation when men make the first move and the fact that it’s online dating really hasn’t changed that. Since more men make the first move it tends to emphasize the fact that your profile and picture are really important factors. Men will possibly place an undue amount of concern on your picture and probably profile too.

A confident and interesting man does not translate to being a self-centered and cocky person. It’s important that your profile lets people know that you have friends you care about and that you are interested in many things. It cannot be just sports, or cars, or things that most guys are interested in. Men, be sure not to start off your profile, or have it anywhere in there that you are someone to be wary of. That is, it should show you as someone trustworthy and reliable.

Another thing men should never do is imply they are the right man for her. Do not write or imply any such thing. Women hope the man they find might be that person, but that is strictly her choice to come to that conclusion. Do not insult her intelligence by blurting out or writing something so ridiculous as that when that’s not your choice to make.

If you really have confidence in yourself or at least appear to be from your profile and what you say, as well be an interesting person, you will have a better than average chance to find that “just right” lady online, or she will somehow find you. Your interesting and captive online dating profile that sets you out from the crowd will make it happen for you.
