You have signed up at a dating site and had emails from women who liked your profile but for some reason, the online dating romance fizzled out and you do not know why.  It has happened several times and you think you are destined to be a failure at online dating romance.  In this article, we will go over the steps to make sure that you are not a failure but a winner in the romance department.

• The first thing that you need to do is make sure that you are signed up at the right online dating site.  You want to make sure that you sign up at one of the top five sites, or a site that matches you age, your religion, or something like that.
• Take the time to actually read the profiles and not look at the pretty pictures.  The reason that your online dating romance fizzled is that you two did not have enough in common to make it work.
• When you find a profile that gets your attention, send her a humorous note, a funny quote, or a little poem.  However, post nothing too sappy that would turn her off and make her not want to respond back.
• When you two connect online, be a listener and not someone that constantly brags on himself.  Tell her that her profile interested you and ask her some general questions like how far away is she from you, but do not ask for her address.
• Really listen to her and ask appropriate questions.  Act interested in what she is telling you.  Keep the conversation polite and humorous.
• When it does come to the point that you want to meet, meet her in a public place.  You can pick a nice restaurant and arrange to have a table in the corner with candles.  She will feel safe but she will feel like you really care to have taken so much time to make the date right.
• Ask her if she would like to order a drink, a soda, or coffee.  She will appreciate the fact that you are giving her the choice to drink or not.  If she does not order a drink, you should not either.  This will show that you respect her and do not have to have a drink.
• Remember to ask questions and listen to what she has to stay.  If she asks you a question, do not give a short answer but do not drone on.  Just answer her question as simply as possible.  Try to stay away from negative subjects like ex’s.

If you try this, things you should be on the right track to having a successful online dating romance that could possibly lead to a real date.  Most of this is common sense but men do have a habit of not listening to a woman but expect her to listen to him as he drones on about a subject she is not interested in.
